Hello Again

It has been far too long! The last time I posted I was not a happy bunny, my phone had been stolen and with it my blogging ability. But I'm back! My lovely parents bought me a camera for Christmas and I have been busy creating content so I can relaunch The Irresistible Rise!

A lot has changed in my life since I last posted but I'm hoping that that is only going to make me a better blogger. Armed with my new camera and a fresh mindset I can't wait to bring you a bigger and better blog.

I've decided to launch properly on the first day of 2014 (I can't believe we're nearly there!). So its going to be a new year and a (kind of) new blog. I've just finished my post for New Years Day and I can't wait to show it to you all, hopefully it will help to soothe the raging hangovers that I'm sure we will all have!

So yes, this is just a little note to say that I can't wait to get back onto my little slice of internet and start sharing with you all again. See you in 2014!

love,

Goodbye For Now

Unfortunately last night my phone was stolen. And on that phone were photos and information for 4 new blog posts. As you can imagine I am a bit gutted.

The loss of my phone means that I am going to have to hang up my blogging gloves for a little while. Hopefully I'll be able to get myself a proper camera soon so I can start afresh and bring you an even better blog.

So this isnt goodbye for forever, but it is goodbye for now. Thank you so much for your support and for reading my ramblings. It is very much appreciated.

Beginnings and Ends

I've been wanting to start a blog for quite a while now but the time has never been quite right. Well now seems as good a time as ever. I have just come to the end of my first year at university and it has been, without a doubt, the best year of my life. I have safely achieved all of the clichés, met amazing people, drunk far too much and had some incredible experiences. But it has been so much more than that, for the first time in my life I am truly content with where I am and what I am doing. All of the pieces have fit into place.

This must be partly down to the wonderful city in which I find myself. Oxford.

I have wanted to live here since I came on a school trip aged 13 and in September 2012 that wish finally came true. I enrolled as an English Literature student at Oxford Brookes University and it has turned out to be the best decision I have ever made.

This blog is going to be full of my musings and adventures, through my summer and on into the rest of my time at university and beyond. Who knows where this may take me?

Here's to the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Harriet.
